1:1 Psychotherapy
The ideal choice if you want to pursue deep, weekly, ongoing inner work and see change in yourself and your life over a period of time. Available to residents of California under the purvue of my license.
Who it’s for
Weekly 50-minute sessions are best for clients who:
Want consistent, supportive space to explore thoughts, feelings, and life challenges
Are ready to gradually work through patterns, emotions, and memories at a safe, sustainable pace
Value ongoing guidance and reflection as they integrate insights into everyday life
Weekly, 50-minute therapy sessions with modalities like EMDR and IFS. This is a consistent space for us to slow things down, get curious, and work gently but meaningfully with what’s coming up in your life. Our work is collaborative and paced to your nervous system.
How we work together
I primarily use EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS), alongside polyvagal-informed and somatic mindfulness practices. In plain terms, that means:
We pay attention not just to thoughts, but to emotions, body sensations, and nervous system responses
We work with the different “parts” of you with curiosity and compassion, rather than trying to eliminate or override them
We focus on creating enough safety and regulation before moving into deeper trauma or attachment work
wHat a session might include
Checking in on your week and identifying what feels most important to focus on
Gently exploring thoughts, emotions, patterns, and “parts” using IFS, EMDR, and somatic awareness
Grounding, regulation, and reflection to help insights carry into daily life
Gradual and incremental exploration and integration week by week
Psychotherapy includes the treatment of mental health disorders, may include trauma processing, and may be covered by insurance or private pay. 90-minute weekly sessions are also available by private pay. Available online to residents of California.
Therapy isn’t about forcing change. it’s about creating the conditions of safety and compassion where change is not only possible, it is a natural product of our inherent healing capacity.
EMDR and IFS Intensives
Dig deep with multi-hour trauma intensives. This option works best for those who do not want to commit to weekly therapy and want the space and time to work through a specific memory, pattern, or experience uninterrupted. Available to residents of California under the purvue of my license.
Who it’s for
Intensive sessions are best for clients who:
Are ready to engage in deeper, concentrated work
Want to safely explore memories or wounds with complex protective layers
Can dedicate several hours to focused self-exploration and integration
Sometimes, life calls for a deeper dive. Intensive sessions are extended therapy sessions lasting 3–5 hours, designed to create space for more sustained, immersive work with Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and somatic awareness.
How intensives differ from weekly sessions
Time and space to go deeper: With several hours together, we can carefully explore memories, patterns, and experiences that often have multiple layers of protective “parts” or defenses.
Working safely with protective parts: Longer sessions allow us to gently approach these layers, honor each part’s role, and create enough safety for meaningful processing without overwhelm.
Integration built-in: Because of the extended timeframe, we include intentional moments for grounding, reflection, and resource-building so insights and shifts can carry into your daily life.
What a session might include
Exploring and working with different “parts” of you through IFS, uncovering protective layers and underlying needs
Processing past experiences or trauma with EMDR, at a pace that respects your nervous system
Using polyvagal-informed and somatic mindfulness techniques to regulate, stabilize, and integrate emotional experiences
Reflection and planning for continued support after the session
3 hour or 5 hour sessions are available by private pay and can stand alone or be combined with weekly follow-ups if desired. Due to length of session, intensive are not covered by insurance. Available online to residents of California.
1:1 COACHING
If you’re looking for something completely integrated and tailored to your specific needs, 1:1 coaching can focus on a variety of topics and goals including personal growth, self-awareness, pattern recognition and accountability, changing habits and mindsets, and more. Available to clients in any location.
Who it’s for
Coaching is ideal for clients who:
Are looking to clarify personal or professional goals and create actionable plans and accountability
Want support integrating meaningful experiences, including psychedelic journeys
Are interested in mindfulness, embodied practices, and self-exploration in a non-clinical setting
Do not need, or already have access to, traditional therapy, and are seeking a solution-oriented approach
Unlike therapy, coaching does not involve diagnosis or clinical treatment, and it focuses on growth, exploration, and self-empowerment rather than processing trauma or mental health symptoms. While we will not focus explicitly on trauma processing, I always bring a trauma-informed and nonjudgemental lens to all my work.
How I work
In coaching sessions, I bring together a variety of tools and practices to help you move toward your goals with clarity, creativity, and embodied awareness:
Parts work and mindfulness: We explore inner patterns, cultivate self-awareness, and develop tools for alignment and integration. This can clarify motivations, strengths, and challenges and help you better work with your own system in your day-to-day life.
Movement and embodied practices: Drawing on my experience as a certified Kundalini yoga teacher and a long-term meditation and yoga practitioner, sessions may include breathwork, gentle movement, or other somatic exercises. We can also work together to create your plans for personal practice or daily routines.
Psychedelic preparation and integration coaching: I provide guidance for preparing for, navigating, and integrating psychedelic experiences safely and meaningfully, informed by my two months living in the Amazon studying plant medicine, shamanic healing, and psychedelic integration.
Goal-setting and practical strategies: Coaching also focuses on applying insights into daily life, supporting clarity, accountability, and action.
Teaching-informed guidance and reflection: I draw on over a decade of experience as a teacher, group facilitator, teacher trainer, curriculum writer, and adjunct professor—bringing clarity, structure, and skill-building into the coaching process
Each session is tailored to your goals, interests, and current phase of growth. Sessions are collaborative, flexible, and paced to your needs, providing a supportive container for learning, integration, insight, and growth without the clinical focus of therapy.
Coaching is available by private pay to clients in any location. Coaching is not covered by insurance.
Groups, Workshops, and events
You can also request to have me run a time-limit group, host a workshop, or speak at an event.
Who it’s for
Workshops, events, and time-limited groups are best for individuals or organizations who:

Are seeking a trauma-informed facilitator to hold a safe, structured group container
Want to explore a specific theme or topic through experiential learning

In addition to individual therapy and coaching, I am available by request to design and facilitate workshops, events, and time-limited groups centered on healing, growth, and embodied learning.
These offerings are designed for people who want to engage in intentional group experiences—bringing together insight, connection, and practical tools around a specific theme or focus. Depending on the context and audience, groups may draw on my trauma-informed therapeutic training, coaching and facilitation skills, and teaching experience to create a safe, structured, and meaningful container.
Workshops and groups may include one or more of the following elements:
Trauma-informed psychoeducation and experiential learning
Mindfulness, somatic, and movement-based practices, including breathwork and yoga-informed approaches
Parts-informed exploration and reflective exercises suitable for group settings

MEET YOUR Therapist
Deborah Griffith (she/her)
Associate Clinical Social Worker (CA)
I love working with anyone who is interested in digging deep, seeking lasting healing rather than coping strategies, and transforming their lives.
I am willing and able to support you as you work to create a more manageable life and cope with any symptoms that may impact your nervous system load and capacity. However, my favorite work, and the work for which I am best equipped, goes deeper than symptoms management and short-term solutions. Instead, with compassion and curiosity, we can take a closer look at your inner world. We can uncover the origin stories behind various symptoms and coping strategies you have developed over the course of your life. We can befriend your body, your mind, and your nervous system and learn the deep well of histories they carry. We can lighten the load that you shoulder and rewire the patterns that have been driving your life, right from the root of where those patterns began in your personal history or ancestry. It is not a quick fix - it is a transformation.
